POTATO CANNONS have been around for years. You may have heard other names used like POTATO GUNS, SPUD GUNS, or POTATO LAUNCHERS... but no matter what you call them, the basic idea is the same - to create a chamber that safely launches potatoes into the stratosphere (well, maybe not that far).

Potato Cannons are typically constructed using heavy gauge SCH40 PVC piping, and the most common fuel used is inexpensive HAIRSPRAY! When you introduce a POTATO PLUG into your barrel, you create an airtight seal. Then, when the fuel expands from ignition, the potato is propelled out of the barrel at a high rate velocity. Don't underestimate the distance a potato can travel!

After following all of your safety procedures, simply:

  1. Push a large potato into the barrel
  2. Ensure potato fits snugly
  3. Ram the potato into the barrel
